The plot twist got me because I tell you what, I thought it was going down a completely different path and BAM out of no where the plot twist happens and I’m left wondering how I didn’t work it all out earlier
The narrators are incredible and it being duet narrated *chiefs kiss*

Oh my gosh, Dallas was even hotter here. I loved him in the book but my lord did he make me blush with the narrator - who did an amazing job, once again. Dallas, the MMC, was born into a secret society and raised by his father, who was already a famous and well known Legacy Dancer in the Red Magic Revue, gave Dallas to follow in his footsteps, but Dallas being him wanted no part in living in his father's shadows. What did he do? He joined as a performer in the Men Under Revue (MUR) to make his own name, his own legacy and reason to shine without his father's help. Next in line to take over from his father he had to marry within a year.
Now how was he going to find a wife that quick?
In comes our beautiful FMC, who was also freshly spurned from her long-term boyfriend, and yet who was just was unhinged and crazy as Dallas. A match made heaven, could we say? She was a talented cheerleader for the University of Phoenix, a hard worker, going for the nationals. But the heartbreak tore her and so her besties flew her away to help her forget her troubles and have fun. That was until he saw her. Love at first sight. He wanted her and he'd stop at nothing... To the point that he got her to agree to a temporary marriage contract...
There's marriage of convenience, close proximity with sizzling chemistry that would made you spontaneously combust. I'm not kidding. You'd become DUST - in in all the delicious ways you though possible. Many a times I caught myself blushing like hell AND ALL BECAUSE OF DALLAS. Anyways, there's more: secret societies and mystery, a plot line that's deep and intriguing, a strong minded FMC and a l!ckable - AHEM! - an MMC who falls first for her, and hard. And the spice? OH THE SPICE WAS SO GOOD!

I am a huge fan of Jacklyn’s writing and I absolutely loved the first audiobook in this series, ‘The Bloke’ and is this the second one from the Men Under Revue series and it was no different.
This time it’s the turn of Dallas Ryan and Bria Robins to tell their story.
Dallas is a legacy and has been raised to follow in his father’s footsteps and after success initiation process claims his place as a member of the Men Under Revue, a secret organisation that works in the darkness keeping the equilibrium of Las Vegas in check.
Dallas knows exactly who and what he is and is comfortable in his own skin, he knows where he is going in life and makes no excuses about it, but he has one major problem he needs a wife to keep his new position at Red Magic and needs to find one within a year, enter Bria captain of the cheer team, who finds herself questioning her life after being dumped by her long term boyfriend she gets dragged on a girl’s weekend to Vegas where she meets Dallas at the club where he dances and the sexual chemistry and pull is instant, but we all know the saying “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” only this time her happen follows her back home and informs her that she is his wifey.
The characters in this books are two strong well matched individuals who both fall for each other quickly but having being hurt Bria struggles to let Dallas in but events take an unexpected twist that I didn’t see coming and in that moment things get a whole new clarity.
Carden Hart narration for Dallas is fantastic giving the right amount swagger and confidence that he comes across exactly how Jacklyn has written him and you can’t but help fall for him hook, line and sinker.
Amanda L’Orien is a new narrator for me but I loved the energy and vulnerability she brought to Bria.
An amazing book and audio series that I cannot recommend enough.
