wish the story had been made longer with more building up going on but still a good listen

If you like a sexy rough and ready guy then this is the story for you. This story has spanking, sizzling chemistry and a smoking-hot Russian mafia Alpha. If you like all these things then you’ll love this. The story is well written, the chemistry is off the charts and the characters are loveable. I’m not moving on to book two.

I finished the book but I found it hard to get through, mainly because the female narrator has a bit of a Disney princess voice. I think shes probably really good for cheerful books. It’s really hard to experience the extreme angst the character goes through when she sounds like a Bambi type cartoon character. She did not land sincerity once. Criticism should be for the producers not the artist. It’s just a terrible match.

I like Zoe Blake’s books when I venture away from my normal genre of thrillers and mystery. Not so much into mafia themes though. However if it’s a good story and a compelling suspense, I still enjoy to try out new stories.
