This series. Kristen Luciani is a master at mafia romance, adding just the right amount of suspense and romance to keep me riveted. This is Marchella and Roman's story, and it's heartbreaking at times and the build up of the enemies to lovers is spot on! Marchella's brother Frankie has done something that may have put her family in danger. When she is taken and held by Roman, she knows it's true. While staying loyal to her brother, she cannot help but be attracted to the one man that she has always loved. Yes, their families were intertwined. But circumstances pulled them apart, and now this new situation has made things even worse. Where does it all go? I can't tell you, but I will say, Luciani added twists and turns, leaving me wondering who was telling the truth, who to trust and wanting this couple to find their happiness! It's a fun, exciting listen!

Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom are perfectly cast for this one. Puckett is Marchella, and she finds her backbone and goes with it! Chella does not back down when in any circumstance, but she does have a lot of vulnerabilities. She's complicated and Puckett plays her with ease. Thom is Roman, and his deep baritone holds the dangerous nuance with a teddy bear heart when it comes to Chella. Loved these two!

This is a well written storyline with good characters. I really enjoyed the dynamic between this couple. They really are perfect together. A brilliant performance.

Brilliant narration from Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom, who bring the characters and plot alive in your ears.


Marchella and her brother Frankie had to leave Sicily to live in New York ten years ago when their father stole from Roman’s dad. Now their dad in prison and mother has died, both siblings are now on their own trying to make ends meet. One night he Roman ends up at the bar Marchella is working at. He remembers her but Marchella has forgotten , even though Roman and her brother had once been best of friends. But the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and Frankie has taken advantage of Roman. Who is out for revenge. Roman takes Marchella until Frankie can pay him back.


Humour, heat, romance. Perfect.

It's been a while since i read Kristen Luciani, and it was like coming back home. Mafia romance with obnoxious men who get possessive over FMC and just pure fun. Always a revenge plot somewhere in the mix, and just simple awesomeness!

I loved Roman and Marchella, they were great and it was fun to see how their relationship progressed. And Sarah and Tor did amazing job portraying them and bringing them to life.
