About this listen

Large chests are said to encompass all manner of hopes and dreams. Men covet them. Women envy them. But one fact holds true—everyone wants to get their hands on some big ones.

The same holds true for one intrepid adventurer—a strapping young lad by the name of Himmel. Armed with his grandfather’s trusty longsword and the dream of being the strongest, he sets out on the journey of a lifetime! It is sure to be a long and dangerous road, fraught with danger! And it all starts with a simple test—reach Level 5 in the dungeon called the "newbie zone" and earn the right to become a full-fledged adventurer!

However, such things get hopelessly derailed when his adolescent mind beholds an exposed chest for the first time. A fateful meeting that would inevitably lead his life in a direction he never even dreamed of!

Not what I expected, so funny I listened to it at work I nearly crashed laughing.
Can’t wait to pick up the second in the series.
If your a snowflake you will be outraged WOKE it is not. Just a great listen.

Entertaining

Thought this might be your typical "let's try to be funny, with innuendos" story, but I seriously ended up enjoying it. Takes you normal fantasy tale and turns it on its' head.

strangely enjoyable

Like the headline said I just couldn't get into this one. The story is pretty unique and one of the big factors why I tried for 10 + chapters, but in the end it became obvious to me that I was waiting for the 'real' story to start while it already had from the beginning.

The narration is top notch and another reason why I stuck with this one for as long as I did, but it couldn't save this one for me.

If you like fantasy stories and are intrigued by seeing things play out from the other side this is probably for you.

Couldn't get invested.

I'd recently got into Dungeon Crawler Carl and thought I might try some other litRPG and this also had Jeff Hayes. This is definitely not up to the same quality. It's quite a fun idea having a psychotic monster accidentally becoming the protagonist and there's some good humour but I could definitely do without the bad sex. I don't want to hear the phrase "lower lips" again... I doubt I'll get any more of the series.

Good in parts but not for me.
