Now first I'm going to adress the whole age issue that seems to be stuck to this story
Wendy is 17 when she first goes with Peter and yes Peter is older but he stopped ageing so he's 17 as well Yes they have smex while 17 (so do most 17 year olds these days) but when Peter sees Wendy again when she is 26 he is no longer that 17 year old boy either he aged as well (no spoilers so won't say how) I don't get why people are bothered by the smexual interactions between them when she's an adult because he is as well..
When it comes to audio books with Joe Arden he could get me to buy pretty much any book with the promise of his voice and how he voiced Peter was bang on and how he voiced Hook good god his voice when he does a dark psycho type character makes me feel tingles 🥴 he must know what he does to women if not it's a damn shame and someone needs to tell him aha Maxine is probably my favourite female narrator and done the different ages of Wendy really well I also find her voice sexy so these two together I just knew I was going to be in for one of the best audio listens I've heard on here as long as the story could hold my ADHD brains attention.... spoiler it did aha
The story was really good I love Peter Pan and it made me really sad when Wendy leaves Peter in the cartoon and film remakes version so I'm always happy to read a redo with the ending I so badly craved as a little girl who never wanted to grow up as well although aging with Peter after some time then going back to neverland may have been more fun after reading this 🤣 I love how things where the same but weren't as there was a dark feel to it from the start don't want to give spoilers so will leave it there lol the ending though omg what was that I am so shocked and confused there needs to be another book I need to know what happens 😧 I never wanted to read Tinks story because I never liked her even in the cartoons but I am trying to find out if the answers I seek are in there or if a third book is coming I have no clue and it is driving me mad 😅 although another book of Jo Arden may just tempt to read Tinks story even if it doesn't give answers lol
I would definitely recommend this to my fellow Dark romance girlies
