This book is not for the faint hearted and easily offended. Malachi and Olivia story is bathed in bad fortune, bad parenting and an even stronger love for one another than in book 1. Despite Malachi’s psychotic tendencies and obsession with Olivia and owning her, you see more of his story and why he is the way he is and his sensory overload with his hearing. You really start to route for him and when the enemy comes for Olivia, Malachi comes for those enemies (with a little help) and it all ends on a HEA; THANK GOODNESS. It’s sexy, spicy, hard to listen to at times but well worth the 5*

I went in blind to hook 2 but honestly wasn't expecting it to be this good, book one was fantastic but this blew it out of the water I think! I especially loved the little cameos from characters from other books. I hope this world keeps growing!

I've been waiting for the audible version for so long but this new guy just... lacks the intensity Joe Arden put into Malachi's speech... so am I the only one disappointed that it's not Joe voicing Malachi? Anyway, I loved every second of this book
