I loved the books but was concerned with so many main characters the audio would be hard to distinguish the characters and make it hard to follow and enjoy. Boy was I wrong!
John solo does not disappoint!

After reading these books a year or two ago, I decided to binge-listen to them on Audio for over 85 hours for the three box sets. I did this over a week and was gutted when they ended. I then started on the Dragon series that followed.

If that doesn't tell you how good they are, nothing will. The characters are well-defined; the story has so many parts it keeps you involved.
The whole world-building has been done flawlessly.

I recommend these books.

The narration by John Solo is superb.
He has done a great job narrating these books, which he always does, helping bring the characters to life and giving us a new immersive experience.

To be clear, I like Nora Phoenix books usually - I've listened to many of her books. Usually I listen to the dragon shifter ones but I decided to give this box set a go. I got 15 hours in and decided I wouldn't finish- nothing to do with the narrator, he's amazing, it's more that I didn't like the names of the characters or the dynamic. It was slow and stilted. Also, non of the characters have a sense of humor. I normally like listening to poly relationship books but this one didn't do it for me. I won't be listening to the rest of this series. That doesn't put me off Nora Phoenix forever though because I generally like her so I'll just go back to the dragons!

I had high hopes for this book since I love Omegaverse, but dear lord, this was one of the most painful books I've heard. 98% of the book is about a character whining and suffering about the same damn thing. I thought that it would pass, but after reaching chapter 13 and seeing no change or development of the story besides more suffering and whining.... nope. I dropped this.

All the characters have pretty much the same past. They ALL suffer and whine ALL the time. And when I say all the time, I mean literally every single minute of this book can't pass without someone suffering or whining.
It's like listening to a broken song that keeps repeating on a high-pitched note, and there's no change of mood, topic, theme, or anything at all.

There's zero romance. All feels forced and rushed. Maybe if the author had toned it down with their suffering and dark topics, they would've had time to actually fall for each other and make us understand why they all matched together.
Even the "already made couple" that loved each other felt terrible and had zero chemistry. It was more like a beta who lived to enable a boring, whiny omega that does nothing but cry and shiver.
