About this listen

Warning: This book contains mature content and is not recommended for listeners under 17.

Alayna Withers has only had one kind of relationship: the kind that makes her obsessive and stalker-crazy. Now that Hudson Pierce has let her into his heart, she's determined to break down the remaining walls between them so they can build a foundation that's based on more than just amazing sex. Except Hudson's not the only one with secrets. With their pasts pulling them into a web of unfounded mistrust, Alayna turns to the one person who knows Hudson the best - Celia, the woman he almost married. Hoping for insight from someone who understands all sides of the story, Alayna forms a bond with Celia that goes too far - revealing things about Hudson that could end their love for good. This is the first relationship where Alayna hasn't spiraled out of control. And she might lose Hudson anyway....

I’m very much enjoying this series storyline, despite not liking the narrator’s boy sounding male voices.

Great series!

I've really enjoyed their story so far, the shared trauma and mental health issues, its a hit-home kinda take for me. I mean, don't we all just wish for a person who saw our crazy and said "Hey, I got me some crazy too but, I think our crazy vibes go positively together". and how they're trying to help heal each other without really realising it. My only tiny gripe is the soft, almost Marilyn Monroe esk voice the narrator uses for Alayna, I wish it was a touch more, I don't know, just, stronger in tone I suppose. But when she talks I always imagine Marilyn, a blonde pinup style look with the voice, not Alayna, a brunette with varied styles and energy. I especially like her voice/tone change when she speaks to Hudson's mother Sophia, or more to the point, when Alayna hands Sophia her arse lol. But I get the soft spoken approach for Alayna's character, she sweet, loving, and very broken through the traumatic loss shes experienced, and its made her a little meek in every day life. As her character grows I'd love to see her tone strengthen a bit more, to be more self-assured in its delivery, but really I'm just nit picking, maybe that Marilyn delivery is the right way to go creatively. I love the story, and as always, I want/need/desire me a book bf irl, to help me reshape my broken bits. Also, Celia, I've read her story, I urge people to listen to it, she's very complex, no excuses for what she's done, is doing and will further do but, it's much better absorbed with context, she's been through a f##king hell of a lot.

I really enjoyed it ♥️
