Struggling artist Avery Ross is barely scraping by. Bartending at a trendy New York City restaurant for an overbearing boss and two weeks away from losing her apartment to a condo developer, she's desperate for a break. So when she's offered a temporary housesitting job, she takes it.

Living at one of the poshest addresses in Manhattan is like entering a new world - one that catapults her into the orbit of billionaire Dominic Baine, the darkly handsome, arrogantly alpha resident of the building's penthouse. What begins as a powerful attraction soon explodes into a white-hot passion neither can deny.

Yet as scorching as their need for each other is, Avery doesn't expect Nick's interest in her to last. Nor does she dare to dream that the desire she feels for this scarred, emotionally remote man could deepen into something real. For Avery has secrets of her own - and a past that could destroy her, and shatter everything she and Nick share.

Contains mature themes.

There was great chemistry between the main characters. A good story line not like some books that are the same story. enjoyed it thank you 😊

I read to end of Chapter 26, then skipped to the last 2 Chapters - it got a bit samey. Unfortunately what I suspected with how long it was taking to get to the point, this has a cliff hanger - I don’t do cliff hangers!!

Got bored and skipped to the end

Liked the way we as readers slowly gain more insight into both their backgrounds. This gives this, spicy, story a lot more depth. Great listening to this!

Nice plot, now i will have to read the next book!

So I read this book after hearing this is for all the 50 shades fans 🙄

Meh! I am sorry to say that I am a super fan of the 50 shades Trilogy 🙈 so how does it compare? The story is ok, the narrator is good but it seriously needs a male part.
I feel this author has snagged the parts that got us girls into 50 shades but doesn’t quite nail it.

Will I read parts 2 and 3, maybe, do I want to use a credit, not really. So I’ll probabaly wait a while to see if it comes up as a freebie at some point. If it doesn’t and I am running out of good audibles then maybe I will buy a copy.

Needs 2 narrators
