Listening to Fit for the Throne was nothing short of an immersive experience. From the very first chapter, I was completely drawn into the rich, vivid world of the Five Isles. S. McPherson’s storytelling is both enchanting and addictive, painting a realm that feels alive and layered with history, conflict, and magic.

What stood out most for me was the incredible character development, especially with Variela and Exhicle. Their individual journeys were powerful on their own, but the tension and emotional complexity between them made their story even more compelling. The love dynamic they share is anything but simple, it's intense, raw, and beautifully messy. And if I had to describe their more intimate moments in just three words? Hot. Hot. Hot.

This audiobook had me hooked from start to finish. Highly recommended for anyone who loves high-stakes fantasy, deep character arcs, and chemistry that practically sizzles through your headphones.

I’m definitely looking forward to Book 2, if it’s anything like the first, I know I’ll be in for another unforgettable ride.

I felt like I was living in the world they created—every detail, every emotion, every moment was so vividly brought to life. The way the story unfolds is captivating, and I was totally immersed from beginning to end. Easily one of the best audiobooks I’ve ever listened to!

I can see the movie for this and the female voice over is brilliant!

I love the storyline, the way the author keeps you on tenterhooks all throughout. The main character cannot catch a break, no matter how much she wishes she could. There are parts that had me literally holding my breath between the love bonds, the cruelty, the insanity and the gripping ache for freedom, this book is not easy to put down.

The characters come to life and each complexity a brewing storm. I finished this book just as soon as I picked it up and it is both moorish and racy.

A wild ride and a brilliant audible.
