About this listen

High Lord Crossbody

I've given up a lot to pursue a career in professional wrestling, and I'm not going to have it all derailed by an uncouth ghoul with a huge chip on his shoulder, who decided he disliked me for no reason on his very first day at Goliaths.

Vince Burke has been the thorn in my side for five long years, but things have taken a turn for the worse. Management is threatening to get involved. I refuse to let Burke take the life I've worked so hard to build from me, so I try to be on my best behaviour at work, but something about him just gets to me. He consumes my thoughts. I can't stand him.

When something happens between us that leaves me feeling completely unmoored, I find myself thinking about him constantly. He's taken all the control, and I need to get it back. Because I liked it too much, and I can't let myself feel that way about him.

Vince "Rolling Rimmer" Burke

I love everything about my job as a professional wrestler at Goliaths of Wrestling, an underground supernatural wrestling organization. I love the showmanship. The costumes. The crowds. The ring and the arena. My co-workers.

Well, except one.

High Lord Crossbody, the royal fae who's an actual prince, is a pompous snob and a pain in my backside. Everything about him rankles me—his clipped drawl, his disdainful sneer, his stupid long legs and eerily perfect face and sultry hooded eyes…

I hate everything about him. I do. So when our mutual dislike boils over in a very public argument, then explodes into something even hotter and completely inappropriate, I'm left confused and even more annoyed.

Because now I want him. And I hate that I want him.

Wow! Just Wow!
This book was the perfect enemies to lovers book that I didn't know I needed but I'm so glad it exists.
When I started the series I never expected this pairing but they work so well!
Vince and Crossbody may be my new favourite couple.
Their relationship starts in the most unsual way but once they open up to each other, they can finally see things from the others perspective, and they realise they are perfect for each.
Again the dual POV works perfectly and getting to hear about Crossbody's feelings and experiences had my heart breaking. Both of the narrators are fantastic as always.
There was still the same humour, banter and some high strength spice, but this was in my opinion the most emotional story as well and that really made me love it.
This really is the best series I have read all year and i would highly recommend it!

I adored Crossbody and Vince’s story the most so far! Loved this story in print, loved it even more in audio. Gorgeous narration by both - Michael and Liam! Couldn’t recommend these series more.

5 ⭐
Just loved this one, it’s funny and cute with plenty of appearances from the others. Really good plot, well paced and Vince and Crossbody are Devine together 😍 the spice in this is phenomenal! My favourite so far on spice 🥵

Corey playing the role of couples therapist is just genius. I honestly don’t know how lily does it but the humour is just something else. It’s so clever!

I wasn’t overly in love with book 3 so I’m so happy that this one is just as good as book 1 & 2 (well almost 🥰 book 2 is my favourite)

I still really wish Liam D wasn’t narrating them, he’s just awful in this series. I regularly just physically read his chapters so I don’t have to hear that awful low growly drawl voice he does where it sounds like he has something in his mouth constantly. It’s so annoying 😫 he just isn’t talented enough to do multiple characters!

As I’ve said with the previous books - Michael F should just be narrating them solo - they’d be 6 ⭐ on narration alone! He’s super talented and could (and should) carry this series solo.

Loved it!
