This was an impulse choice & not my normal type of book but I took a chance & was captivated by the story. It was intriguing and the twists & turns made me want to listen at every spare second. I have listened to many audio books & this only ever happens every once in a while. I found that I was eager to find out the outcome of the tempestuous relationship with every twist & turn came a new set of things to ponder. I think it brought to the surface some interesting questions about relationships and the impact that one person can have on another. I particularly liked how the characters seemed to question and doubt themselves in a way that made them seem very real. I think many of us at some point have had these agonising conversations in our own heads about things.

Overall, I absolutely loved this book. A friend recommended it as well as the film version, I haven’t been this invested in a book for years, I couldn’t stop listening. I don’t agree with the mostly negative comments, the only thing I disliked is how toxic the relationship is between Tessa & Hardin in the book, he’s much nicer and more romantic in the film. Elizabeth was brilliant at reading in the different accents etc. Was also nice having Hero read the last chapter, I’d have gladly listened to him read the whole thing!
