Max Tegmark leads us on an astonishing journey through past, present and future, and through the physics, astronomy, and mathematics that are the foundation of his work, most particularly his hypothesis that our physical reality is a mathematical structure and his theory of the ultimate multiverse. In a dazzling combination of both popular and groundbreaking science, he not only helps us grasp his often mind-boggling theories, but he also shares with us some of the often surprising triumphs and disappointments that have shaped his life as a scientist.
Any additional comments?
I've been troubled by super positioning, boson fields and the time space continuum for quite a while now. Max Tegmark describes all of this eloquently and explains his thoughts on matters that I had not yet considered. During the read I experienced very brief moments of absolute clarity. So much so that I was able to expand some of the hypothesis into unchartered dimensions with my own original concepts. Of course I have forgotten all of them now, but the thought that I might be a Boltzmann brain remains disturbing. Top marks for Rob Shapiro the narrator as well. I will certainly revisit all 15 hours of this book again.

In the unique arena of professional trading coaches and consultants, Van K. Tharp is an internationally recognized expert at helping others become the best traders they can be. In Trading Beyond the Matrix: The Red Pill for Traders and Investors, Tharp leads listeners to dramatically improve their trading results and financial life by looking within. He takes the reader by the hand through the steps of self-transformation, from incorporating "Tharp Think" - ideas drawn from his modeling work with great traders - making changes in yourself so that you can adopt the beliefs and attitudes necessary to win when you stop making mistakes.
Half the books is about God. I hope that does not put any potential listeners off, like it would have me. But wow!, another top trading book that must be listened to.

Maximizing the trader's state of mind is the key to successful results. Conflicts, contradictions, and paradoxes in thinking can spell disaster for even a highly motivated, astute and well-grounded trader. Mark Douglas, an industry consultant since 1982, sends the message that a "thinking strategy" will profoundly influence a trader's success rate. Douglas addresses five very specific issues to give traders the insight and understanding about themselves that will make them consistent winners in the market.
I am a professional trader. This book is excellent, full of great insights and nice analogies. Whether an average person could accept this reality, or more importantly operate with the correct mind set is unlikely. Most lessons need to be learned first-hand. But any budding, failing or mediocre trader should listen to this work. If you find yourself, discounting the information or rationalising an alternative way of thinking; you will have at least identified the reasons, why you are probably doomed to failure.
