A wonderfully written coming of age college drama that confronts first love full on. The story, told in dual POV follows the son of a US Congressman ..Show More »and captain of the hockey team Ryan Burnham, as he unexpectedly falls for struggling waitress Danny Cross. Divided by class and living in two different worlds they struggle to find their way when snobbery and contempt threatens their future. Thankfully neither of them take any bull, they both know the facts and they know what they are up against, that is until Ryan's cow of a mother decides to really twist the knife in a very open wound and play completely on Danny's emotions and love for Ryan. Quite emotional in places with some pretty strong characters, I've got to say I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into the rest of the series.
Oh my, Nix Caldwell, by the end of the book my heart broke for him. But, that said, at the beginning of the book Nix is cut off, nasty and to put it ..Show More »bluntly he's an A hole, plain and simple. Then we have the wonderful Emily Burnham (who, if you read book 1, Off Sides, you would know she has come a long way to earn that commendation). They meet when Emily knocks Nix off his motorcycle (I know not the best first impression), and even though Emily is a Burnham, and as such she's very wealthy, her trust fund is not yet in reach, as such she ends up working her debt off to Nix. A relationship ensues and Nix finally starts to let Emily into his life, but not completely, he still has so many demons caused by a head trauma in the Marine's and the fact that he's suffering from PTSD. Told in dual POV, the story is both sexy and heartbreaking. Add into the mix the adorable Hartley, a super cute four legged addition, and I was hooked from start to finish.
Book 3 in Sawyer Bennett's 'Off' series follows Nix Caldwell's brother, New York Rangers goalie, Lincoln as he tries to break down the barriers that E..Show More »ver Montgomery has built around herself following betrayals from both her father and her ex boyfriend. The question is, will Linc be able to forgive her when she finally sees the light? Written in dual POV, another beautifully written, entertaining and sexy read from Sawyer Bennett. I just can't fault this woman.
Not my favourite book in the series, however it was still enjoyable and of course beautifully written. I had trouble connecting with Renner and Cilli..Show More »an and I found I wasn't as invested in their story. I got a little wound up with how Cillian handled Maeve. All that said the chemistry when they got together was palpable and I loved Cillian's take charge attitude and the fact that unless it was in the bedroom, Renner didn't bend to his demands. Looking forward to reading Flynn's story.

Quick, easy, fun and sexy read that follows all their emailing and texts. Quirky and enjoyable.
A second chance novella following Firefighter and single dad Tim Davis as fate brings him face to face with his childhood sweetheart orthopaedic docto..Show More »r Holly Reynolds, when Tim's son Sam fractures his wrist. Tim is visiting his sister in New Orleans where Holly now works in the ER, this means that their reunion is short lived as Tim needs to return to New York. New York, a place that Holly left behind when her hero of a father let her down badly with his bigotry. Maybe now it's time to return home, building bridges with her parents isn't a priority, but things have changed a lot in 10 years for her parents, it would appear however that Holly and Tim's feeling for each other are stronger than ever. A quick, sexy read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
