T..Show More »his is my first book from Nessa Connor and it won't be the last it was a gritty storyline that I enjoyed she weaved the suspense danger in it very well also the development of the characters was well played out , I personally could have easily listened to more content ,
The narration let it down slightly whilst he has a incredible sexy voice he does trail off on sentences and i had to rewind on more than one occasion .Will look out for forthcoming listens
This book follows Greg who owns his own motorbike repair shop and works primarily for the Chosen Few Motorcycle Club. Greg lost his wife years earlie..Show More »r and has no thoughts of a serious relationship until he meets his niece's teacher, Melanie, and he immediately feels drawn to her. Melanie has reservations over a couple of her 12 year old students and decides she wants to meet their role models, she is not prepared for sexy biker Greg to pull up at the school on his motorbike, but she is intrigued, she's never been in a motorbike before. They spend time together going on a couple of dates and bike rides, and when Melanie and the children she is taking on a school trip are taken hostage she turns to the only person she believes can save them, Greg. I listened to this book on audible, and even though the narrator had a gorgeous voice, it felt like he was just reading the book out loud as opposed to really feeling the emotions in the story. At times the story was a little rushed and clichéd, I felt like the characters were just going through the motions and I didn't particularly feel the chemistry between them. The story was interesting, although I did feel as if the mechanics of motorbikes was focusses on more than it needed to be, as too was Melanie's teaching career. I would have liked to know more about Melanie and Greg's relationship and interaction. I loved reading about the two main children, Carly and Brian, and loved their interactions and storyline. I received a copy of this as an audiobook from the author at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast.
This was my first MC romance. And what a way to start!
This mid-length story has a little of everything: MC culture, computer geekiness, fam..Show More »ily, suspense and romance. Toni and Luc meet and are almost immediately thrown into a steadily escalating situation. They are both strong, and yet refreshingly human with flaws and personal baggage. You cannot help but enjoy the characters and root for their hopeful success.
Andy E. Ross' narration is well-matched to the story. He gives the story texture and brings the characters to life.
