Overall this course is good and has goven me a good insight into speaking Vietnamese. I feel more confident and have used the language successfully! <..Show More »br/> The only two issurs I have are: firstly, the pauses are slightly too short, so you have almosy thpight of the right phrase when they give you the answer, a bit annoying. secondly, the words for older woman (Chi-i) and younger woman (Baa) are mixed up, as in they tell you that Chii is a younger woman on the tape. this is incorrect and led to an embarassing.moment in Vietnam!
other than thatn they are good, amd I have bought the next part of the coirse!
This is the third Pimsleur Vietnamese course I have completed and my Vietnamese is definitely improving. The courses are split into manageable half ho..Show More »ur sessions that involve repeating old stuff as well as learning new material.
I like the pimsleur method but found the subject matter of this particular file poor. There was far too much emphasis on getting directions and the d..Show More »ialogue that deals with shops being open or closed is totally inappropriate for a beginner's course.
This is the 5th Vietnamese audio file I have studied (1 more to go) and they still haven't covered basic stuff like "what is your name", "where are you from", "what do you do", "where do you live". Maybe that will come at the end!
