Anne Mason-Long is annoying. She is so self-centred, wanting to do everything herself. I get that her lying ex-husband damaged her trust in people BUT REALLY?! Michael Brandt is a borderline stalker. His overbearing protectiveness became almost as annoying as her pushing him away when she really wants him. Thank goodness for Frankie and Lane. This is really a case of the supporting cast stealing the show. The dangerous threat and the identity of the killer made for good reading till the end.

On the whole, the continued development of the central characters and their 'what happens next' stories were enjoyable and made for smiles and tearful grabbing for tissues.
