I'd heard really positive things about Pepper Winters so was keen to read one of her books. There were times in the book that I was hooked, more so a..Show More »t the beginning it has to be said, but as an entire book it did not captivate me completely. Kelsi Nesser's narration was of a really high quality and I think this is a large reason as to why I completed the book - not sure I would have done if I were reading it myself. I thought the amnesiac side of the story was really good, although I found the childhood/teenage recollections themselves irritating which complicates things as are integral to the entire plot. I don't think I will read the sequel, but there is certainly something about the way Pepper Winters writes and I do think I will try another of her books.
