This was a lovely book to listen to the narrator did a very good job and I found her voice very easy on the ears. The story centres around Aislinn (A..Show More »sh) who has seen fairies all her life, no-one else can, and until recently the fairies have taken very little interest in her until they seem to be stalking her. The book I thought was very original and even though is aimed for the teen market (I have a teen daughter myself) I found that it really appealed to me - it is after all a love story with good strong characters.
The Ink Exchange follows on and intertwines with Wicked Lovely, which was the first in this fabulous trilogy! I cant wait for the third and final part..Show More » and may have to buy the book, as I don't think I can wait for the audiobook to be made to find out how everything works out!! The writing is very dark in this book, much more so than in Wicked Lovely, and I became totally absorbed in this modern Fairy story - definitely recommended.
Although I enjoyed this book I felt it wasn't as exciting as the previous two. I felt the story took a long while to develop and then as soon as the e..Show More »xcitement kicked off the book ended. A little disappointing but I enjoyed it none the less and will probably continue with the series
i highly recommend this book to anyone who loves listening to fairy stories with an adult theme. I have really enjoyed this series and waiting eagerl..Show More »y for the last book which i kno should be out soon. i highly recommend the whole Wicked Lovely series. i am going to listen to them again before listening to the last book when it comes out, as its been a while since listening to the whole series.
I have loved every one of these books and was beginning to feel a little nervous about this one as it was the final instalment in an excellent series...Show More » I needn't have worried it was outstanding all the loose ends throughout the books were cleverly tidied up no one is left dangling and you feel thoroughly satisfied with the outcome. I just hope that Melissa Marr has plenty more left in her as I have become quite a fan. The narration for this series was spot on although I did enjoy the voices by the first narrator in Wicked Lovely probably the best.
