With the focus on a crime drama the two stories fit together, but I felt both seemed weak compared with other of her stories. The narrator Besty Zajko is clear and very good, there are some places where I felt the expression/tone did not match the actual dialogue. I guess this is an early radclyffe work, and it is good, but maybe not as good as later works of hers.
