An absolutely amazing book! This is meticulously researched historically and a must read for anyone. I was never interested in the history and facts ..Show More »of WW II even though five uncles served. My father served as a Captain in the Medical Corps in the Pacific. I wish he was still alive. I have so many questions I wish I could ask. I guarantee even if you don't like "war stories" this book will have you hanging on every word. Thanks Audible!
I loved this book, it's a brilliant sequel to The Winds of War! Yes it requires a huge time commitment, but it is well worth it. I have enjoyed Kevin ..Show More »Pariseau's narration, mainly as there are less British accents for him to have a crack at.
There are some really harrowing sections that are delicately handled, on an audio par with the scenes in Schindlers List with the little girl in the red coat!
If you have downloaded The Winds of War - it is almost the law that you have to listen to War & Remembrance!
