"Good listen"
I am not sure how much practical advice (beyond just do it) this book offers but it is written and delivered well and makes an easy listen.
"An ego out of control"
Normally when I read an autobiography I become a even bigger fan of the person. Sadly on this occasion I got about half way through and got bored with his out of control ego. This guy really loves himself!
"Terrible narrator"
Sorry I just couldn't listen to this... the narrator is appalling. He finishes every sentence on an upwards inflection which means like it sounds like he is constantly asking you a question. It grates on the ear so much that it becomes imposible to listen to the story
"Not the best"
I am a massive fan of Stephen King and driving 700 miles a week means I quite enjoy the longer of his books. However this one just misses the mark, I think the problem is the central character is pretty unlikeable. Long winded and uneventful.
"What the hell"
I am sorry I have had to give in.... WHY is the narrator using stupid Cockney and Yorkshire accents to play the leading characters when all the names are swedish
The voiceover ruined this book

"Took a while but wow"
Took me a while to find a connection to the characters but once I got into it - wow what a great book

"Sorry Stephen"
Sorry Stephen... I am a big fan but this just doesn't work for me. I feel no connection to or empathy for any of the characters. I neither care whether they all live or all die.

"Remedial reading"
Sorry James,
I can't take any more, I am 2 hours in and I have lost the will to live. Read in such a remedial, dull and basic way - should have been narrated by a professional.

"Name drop central"
A little disappointed to be honest, whilst it was good listening to Michael tell his own story and their are lovely moments where he can't help but laugh at his own jokes. The book is really quite a tedious list of famous people he knows and that's about it.
"Dull and over simple"
I had high hope for this book after reading the other reviews but I have to say having just read the Steve Jobs autobiography this is woeful in comparison. The book is padded out with detail that neither has relevence or any entertainment value.
eg. I made a cup of tea for Dave, I took a cup and put boiling water in it and then I added a tea bag. Dave waited a while for the liquid to cool and raised it to his lips. He then started drinking the liquid.
Yes Tony we understand how a cup of tea is made.
"Long but gripping"
I have been putting off this one because of the sheer length, I couldn't see how anyone's life story could keep me hooked for 25 hours !!
I was wrong, it's a fasinating story of a unique man. I was already a big fan of Apple but knew nothing about the background of the company. Well worth a listen
