The brooding hero, gypsy Jake Lovell, under whose magic hands the most difficult horse or woman becomes biddable, is driven to the top by his loathing of the darling of the show ring, Rupert Campbell-Black. Having filched each other's horses, and fought and fornicated their way around the capitals of Europe, the feud between the two men finally erupts with devastating consequences at the Los Angeles Olympics.

A good book but too many sexual scenes!...there are loads as the book goes on. Slightly slow to get into it but as it progresses, the story line gets better and better. The narrator is also good but as I said, it would have been better if I didn't have to turn it off/down on almost every chapter whilst the kids were about!

Following the death of her bullying husband, Etta Bancroft's selfish children move her to a village in the Cotswolds. One night, she discovers a filly, left to die in the snow. With help, Etta rescues the horse, and she and her friends form a syndicate to pay for her upkeep. As the horse recovers, she begins to show racing pedigree, so the syndicate enters her into a maiden hurdle - and are shocked at the result.

This is more like a squeal book to her other book, Riders. It seems to follow on and have the same sort of scenes but with different characters. Again, lots of sexual scenes as the book progresses which include the same type of format as 'Riders'. Etta is portrayed really well and I enjoyed getting to know her character more and more but I did want to slap her son and daughter in law in the face! lol! It didn't really hold my attention as I felt it was far too similar to 'Riders' and much too predictable.

Church minster village - picturesque, quaint, sleepy - OR NOT...A place where women know exactly what they want, and it's not cream tea with the vicar. A place where anything can happen . . . so be careful what you wish for. And a place where the men had better behave . . . because the ladies won't take it lying down (well, not unless they want to!)

This was the first audio book I had purchased from Audible. Once I got started, I couldn't turn it off! The narrator is really good and really captures the characters well. I have to admit that it does get slightly confusing as the majority of the female characters' names start with a 'C' but the more you get into it the better it is.
