Part Two of The Wise Man's Fear Sequel to the extraordinary The Name of The Wind, The Wise Man's Fear is the second instalment of this superb fantasy trilogy from Patrick Rothfuss. This is the most exciting fantasy series since George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and a must for all fans of HBO's Game of Thrones.

Sookie has a murder investigation on her hands. A young girl has died at a vampire party - and it looks as though her lover, Eric, might be responsible. Eric swears he didn't do it, the police don't believe him, and even Sookie isn't so sure. Nor is she inclined to take his word for it, having caught him enjoying the victim's blood minutes before she was killed. But something strange is going on. Why had Sookie been asked to come to the fateful party a few minutes early - just to catch Eric in the act?

First of all i love Sookie and all her mad, crasy and funny world. But...The séris is reaching a slow and excruciating end. More of the same. "I washed my hair. Dryed it. Did my morning routin. Did some washing. Sat on the porche...." And on and on it goes as you wait for the story to pick up while she does what she always does and re-expaines what happend in all the previus books...and appart from a little mystery that unravels and a 3 min panick at the end all and all for the fist time i found a C.Harris book boaring... To the sookie fans i would recommend to follow any how...i still hope to fined out were she ends up in her mad life.

I read this book years ago and only remember that i had skipped long pages of description about towns, cultures and history but that i had loved the story all the way to boon 7. I didn't think i would have the courage to re-read this one but i am really glad that i found it on audible. The strory is gripping and very complete. C'an't wait to lisen to the rest of this épic adventure

I was very excited to finally fined out the howl story and unveil the mystery surrounding Ach. I enjoyed hearing about all my favorit caracters again. This book explaines a lot and is still great to lisent to with out having read the other books related to the story. And as always i love Kenyon sexy and funny style.
But after chapter after chapter of violence and abuse of the mane caracter i grew tired and bored with all the free violence. Sure the scenery is well set and the caracters and places are wonderfull to read but PLEASE give the guy a break !!! Even the sex scenes become tire some after a time. So all in all this one is a 50/50 book to me. Harf love / harf ZZZzzzZZZ

If you think your family relationships are complicated, think again: you haven't seen anything like the ones in Bon Temps, Louisiana. Sookie Stackhouse is dealing with a whole host of family problems, ranging from her own kin (a non-human fairy and a telepathic second cousin) demanding a place in her life, to her lover Eric's vampire sire, an ancient being who arrives with Eric's 'brother' in tow at a most inopportune moment.
