"Disappointed"
I was very disappointed with this book, as I found just too many unbelievable coincidences throughout this book, it just wasn?t in anyway credible.
"Would not recommend it"
This was not my usual genre, but I was in the mood for something different. Took me six weeks to get through it, I somehow managed to stick with it. The woman narration is very slow and half way through I got the bright idea to increase the narration speed. I am glad I listened to this book, but I don’t think I will read any more from this author. The story does seem to ramble on and on, and very conveniently wraps up at the end. It didn’t blow me away that’s for sure
"A Good Read. Excellent Narrator"
The main reason I am writing this review, is to acknowledge how brilliant the narrator was David Thorpe. For me, he made this mediocre book a great book, for his energy and dialects he introduced. The story was a good read, not my usual genre. But would recommend it.
"A Good Read"
I really enjoyed this book. I havent read anything from this author before so I had no expectations. The narrator Dan Stevens was excellent and gave the book an extra depth. The storyline I enjoyed going back and forth between the two characters. And on reflection I can see the clues the author has given us towards the storyline. I enjoyed the book and would reconmend it.
"Disappointing"
Even now I can feel the enjoyment of Sister, which I really enjoyed. Afterwards is nothing in comparison with Sister. I kept wishing the book to end. I found the whole concept without giving the game away a joke. The story kept going around and around in circles. Certain situations I realized the outcome, half way through the book. I wouldn’t recommend it.
"Worth a listen!"
I really enjoyed this book, a little predictable in the end. The narrator Jonathan Keeble was excellent.
"Awful"
This is the first time I have listened to this author and I doubt if I will again. I found this book really tedious and left me not caring if I listened to it to the end. The story line seemed to ramble on adding on arms and legs to the story which I found to be quiet unbelievable. I found the narrators women voices very irritating :(
"Fantastic Listen!"
This is my first Jo Nesbo audio read/listen The Snowman, I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. The narrator Sean Barrett was excellent. I did find the characters names a little difficult to keep track of and had to re-run a few pieces. Will definitely listen to more of this brilliant author.
"Play Dead"
I actually enjoyed this book from the point of view of guessing what will happen next. I have not read many of his books, but the ones I did listen to I really did enjoy. I did wonder why the narrator was male?
"Freedom"
I'm with Mal, another reviewer, No No No No No! Totally boring!
"Darkhouse"
Don?t bother is my adivice! Extremely disappointing and predictable story line. With an irritating narrator with so many different dialects to do. The only good point only three and half hours long
