Nobody likes The Complaints - they're the cops who investigate other cops. It's where Malcolm Fox works. He's just had a result, and should be feeling good about himself, but he's a man with problems: his new job is Jamie Breck, a dirty cop but no one can prove it. As Fox takes on the job, he learns that there's more to Breck than anyone thinks.

This is my first Ian Rankin book and found it held my attention from start to finish. Agree with the Other Alison's comments. Also very well read with a Scottish accent adding to the enjoyment.

I was so surprised by the previous comments. I thought the narration was very good compared to some of the Georgette Heyer books I have purchased. She managed to bring the characters to life and made me smile with some of the humorous passages. Will listen to again. Well done. Perhaps she can read Arabella which is one of my favourites and not yet available

Excellent narration thoroughly enjoyed the novel. Please can we have Arabella read as this is my favourite Georgette Heyer novel?

Great listen and enjoyable, what a fabulous reader who makes the novel so much more fun than reading myself. Would certainly recommend this book and the reader for more of her novels please.

The excesses of the young Marquis of Vidal are even wilder than his father's before him. Not for nothing is the reckless duellist and gamester called "the Devil's Cub". But when he is forced to leave the country, Mary Challoner discovers his fiendish plan to abduct her sister. Any only by daring to impersonate her can Mary save her sibling from certain ruin.

One of the best by Georgette Heyer, and it was read very well without distracting you form the story as I found with These Old Shades. I didn't want this one to end. Please can he read These Old Shades.

It is in regrettable circumstances that beautiful Judith Taverner and her brother Peregrine first meet Julian St John Audley. The man, they both agree, is an insufferably arrogant dandy. But unfortunately for them, he's also the Fifth Earl of Worth, a friend of the Regent and, their legal guardian.

This is one of my all time favourites and it was a delight to have someone narrate who understood the Characters and brought them to life. Please can June read some of the other books by Georgette Heyer such as These Old Shades which was such a let down that I could not listen to it.

I have loved this book most of my adult life and have read it more times than I can remember. I was so exited when I downloaded this to my MP3 player only to listen to the first five minutes. The voice was so wrong for Justin and I so agree with the other comment dreary no emotion at all. Very dissapointed. Please try again with someone who has feeling and understang for the characters and portrays them as they should be.
