What if you could go back in time and change the course of history?11.22.63, the date that Kennedy was shot - unless.... King takes his protagonist Jake Epping, a high school English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, 2011, on a fascinating journey back to 1958 - from a world of mobile phones and iPods to a new world of Elvis and JFK, of Plymouth Fury cars and Lindy Hopping, of a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and a beautiful high school librarian named Sadie Dunhill who becomes the love of Jake's life.

King at his best!! What an amazing story. I'm from the UK so I'm not too hot on American History and I thought it may not be my kind of book but I loved the story, King has a way of making something unbelieveable into a story that you feel could actually happen!! LOVED IT!

Twelve people targeted for death.... Five years ago, each person sold out to the SEC and took the stand against Maxmilian Wolfhagen, the infamous arbitrageur who robbed the world of billions and brought about the collapse of the stock market. Now, with Wolfhagen out of prison, one by one, each is dying a grisly death. Two Assassins with only 48 hours to cut a swath of murder and revenge through New York.... With the time restrains so tight, the challenges are massive - but so are their skills.

I stated to read Christopher Smiths books last year because Stephen King recommends them - Im so glad that they're available on Audible now - they're amazing, so well written, I couldn't switch this off - even in work. Brilliant story and I loved the ending. I just downloaded the next one in the series. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a good story, believeable characters, twists, turns and suspense! 5 stars!

I'd never heard of Christopher Smith until I saw a review of this book by Stephen King (one of my fave authors), last year, recommending it. I originally bought the book but never have time to sit and read so when I heard (on Christophers Facebook page) that his books were going on Audible, I immediately bought it - I LOVED this book! I'd recommend it to anyone - the story is engrossing, the characters and settings are so well written that you can see every detail and get really drawn into the story and and the narrator is really good, he obviously loves the book too - he reads it so well! The ending is brilliant - Ive just bought the next one in this series. I'd put Christopher Smith up there with Stephen King, John Grisham and Dean Koontz. Give this book a try, and also add Chris on Facebook for info of his other books, he offers prizes of signed books to his facebook fans. I'm so glad his books are available on Audible now. 5 stars!!!

In a future uncomfortably close to the present day, the apocalypse has surpassed all expectations. Hideous demons roam the streets in an orgy of terror, drawing pleasure from torturing humans as sadistically as possible. Ira, a young San Francisco artist, becomes involved with a strange group of scientists and philosophers desperately trying to end the bloody siege. But the most shocking revelation is yet to come.

I've never read anything before by John Shirley but I thought this sounded good, (I like horror/ghost stories) but I really didnt like this one, I'm not sure if it was because of the narrating or because of the story.... Listen to a bit of it before you buy. I may give it another go when I have nothing else to do....

'I believe there is another man inside every man, a stranger....' writes Wilfred Leland James in the early pages of the riveting confession that makes up '1922', the first in this pitch-black quartet of mesmerising tales from Stephen King, linked by the theme of retribution. For James, that stranger is awakened when his wife Arlette proposes selling off the family homestead and moving to Omaha, setting in motion a gruesome train of murder and madness.

I love anything written by Stephen King anyway - these are a brilliant compilation of 4, very different, gripping stories. I love the way he takes ordinary everyday experiences and makes them sinister and really draws you in so you just cant stop listening!
