    An interesting concept is raised in this book but Sam Harris fails to give me much enthusiasm for it. He also speaks very quickly and uses a lot of jargon which can make it difficult to follow unless you have studied this topic before.

    This book is great because it gives an overview of many of the major historic philosophers but doesn't go into so much detail that it bores you to sleep. I found it particularly useful as I am a philosophy novice and it has helped me find out about various philosophers that I hadn't heard of before.
