Jack Ryan has only just moved back into the Oval Office when he is faced with a new international threat. An aborted coup in the People's Republic of China has left President Wei Zhen Lin with no choice but to agree with the expansionist policies of General Su Ke Quiang. They have declared the South China Sea a protectorate and are planning an invasion of Taiwan. The Ryan administration is determined to thwart China's ambitions, but the stakes are dangerously high as a new breed of powerful Chinese anti-ship missiles endanger the US Navy's plans to protect the island.
Meanwhile, Chinese cyber-warfare experts have launched a devastating attack on American infrastructure. It's a new combat arena, but it's every bit as deadly as any that has gone before. Jack Ryan, Jr., and his colleagues at the Campus may be just the wild card that his father needs to stack the deck. There's just one problem: someone knows about the off-the-books intelligence agency and threatens to blow their cover sky high.

"Locked on part 2"
Yes! Tom Clancy has done it again! Narrator pulls of an excellent Chinese speaking accent which makes the story even more immersive. It's quite interesting that I had just finished Mark Russinovich's Trojan Horse which also points a finger to China and their cyber-tech. I guess it's no secret though.
A very exciting yarn with just the right balance of action to tech. I really want to see this and Locked on at the movies. It would be awesome.

"Great book"
I really enjoyed this book. It's fast paced contains a few twists
Well worth listening too.
"more of Ryan"
Great to have more of Tom Clancy and Ryan. Have benn disappointed for a long time that the story may not be finished but once ange he has not let down his readers. Perhaps they do not have have the same excitement that the 'cold war' stories had but now the danger comes from another area anf even more leathal. During the 'cold war' the threat was always there but never happened but now the new threat is only too real, major attacks have happened and 'wars'. The fear is real and has been addressed by Tom Clancy where other authors seem afraid of giving offence. Enjoyable and thrilling.
"Totally gripping"
This audiobook had me hooked right from the first chapter. Clancy knows how to keep his readers engaged. He's a master storyteller and the subject of this book is very up to date with what's going on in the world right now. I found the narrator interpreted the book very well, even when the dialogue commanded the use of Chinese intonation. I'd recommend this book to anyone that likes the subject of espionage and cyber attacks.
"Threat Vector"
What can i say another great list from Tom Clancy and Mark Greaney. I love how the caertor have grow with the series and devlop. I can not wait to find out what will be install for operators of Hendley Associates, after the cyber attacks from china "the campus" go to war to stop a war.
"Pure escapism!"
It's not clever, or that original, but it is a great page turner! Really enjoyable escapism, and gripping (despite not being that original in concept).
"Good read"
Well read by lou diamond phillips and Flows along and keeps you gripped to the end
"Threat Vector "
Wanted the stroy to go on and on..... full of twist and truns.
Cannot wait for another story in the same vein..... if you watch the news it could striat off the front pape.
"Thrilling read"
This is my first Tom Clancy, but I love the idea's, plus the game franchise. Lou Diamond Phillips really makes this book come alive, but the story for me, was well paced and well structured. I could hardly put it down, but it was easy to follow if you did, then picked it back up again. Highly recommend this book.
"Threat Vector"
The son of the US President is an undercover operator for a CIA offshoot. If that is one of the more credible plot lines the listener is expected to accept you can imagine how incredible othere are.
The more the book progressed the more I thought it was comedy not thriller. I have never written a review before but feel obliged to warn other possible victims.
The plot of Lord of the Rings is more true to life than events in this "novel".
