Murder in paradise: Military criminal investigator John Puller is drawn closer to home when his aunt is found dead in her house in Paradise, Florida. The local police have ruled the death as an accident, but Puller finds evidence to suggest that she may well have been murdered. On the surface the town lives up to its name, but as Puller digs deeper he realises that this town and its inhabitants are more akin to Hell than Paradise. His belief is confirmed as evidence of strange and inexplicable events come to light. And when Puller learns the truth about what is happening in this once sleepy town, he knows that his discoveries will impact far wider than Paradise.

"The Forgotten"
I love this second book in the Puller series and do hope that there will be more about this character.
The book is responsible for much missed sleep as I read it in two evenings it was a good storyline with many twists and turns and I found the characters engaging and the narration was a good match for me.
"Fantastic Listen"
I would thoroughly recommend this book. Sometimes such stories can become a little 'same-ie', but this had you gripped from start to finish. The only comment I would make was the music was not really necessary, but it didn't detract from an excellent story.
"Okay but not great"
The content itself is okay, but nothing spectacular, plus the womans voice is very annoying and inconsistent - I cant tell the difference between the general, the child or the cop, and her voice lacks conviction. The guy however does a reasonably good job.
"Forgotten"
Baldacci does it again I never get tired of him. somthing happening on every page and many twists and turns you just dont want to put it down. and the narration is FAB.congrats to them they bring the story to life. A brilliant read.carnt wait to download his next book.
"ok story, but irritating background"
Every time there was any 'action', there were sound effects .... namely gun shots, fights, an explosion. This was just SO annoying. On top of that there was a 'frantic music' soundtrack that I assume was supposed to create a tense atmosphere. I nearly stopped listening because of this, but held on and saw it through to the end. The story wasn't bad, but my enjoyment, and impressions are coloured by the irritation factor.
"Brilliant"
Loved the book, but the audiobook takes it to another level, the production is fantastic and really sets the mood. :) enjoy

"The new Jack Reacher"
David Baldacci's second book in the John Puller stories. If you like the Jack Reacher novels you will love this book.
"brilliant as usual"
Love david baldacci. There is something special about his books. Ron mclarty makes this even better. His voice is very relaxing.
Start from the beginning and work your way through his books im order. Some are linked to the next one. The maxwell and king series are brill!
"The forgotten"
My replacement for jack reacher, more of this character please. This book was exciting and pacey and hard to put down
"Gripping"
I love this books, great story, keeps me in tension and great narration. This story convinced me to buy two eBooks by Baldacci.
The characters are full of life, interesting and link together very well.
The story develops and is exiting along the way.
A great book to listen if you enjoy action stories.
