As a complete beginner to Spanish I was expecting this audiobook to maybe teach me the alphabet, some numbers, some basic greeting ... it did so much more than that! I listened to the recording in the car on the way to work and even after the first 30 minutes, I was able to put together some very sophisticated sentence structures and understood, based on common letter patterns and cognates, how to construct many more. Michel Thomas' style of teaching and the use of two students in the recording ensures that you quickly learn how to build up full, very useful, sentences, as well as understand what not to do (as the students make exactly the same mistakes that you will!) I would whole-heartedly recommend it.
