In this penultimate part of the "Malorian" Garion and his friends are desparate to find the ancient ritual site, where the fate of the world, and of the prince Garan will be decided. However, they are caught between two oposing armies and must escape, in order to continue their quest. More surprises are in store as an unlikely addition to their company arrives, and they must save yet more people from the fate and terror of the dark, dragons and demons. A must read for all Eddings fans.
