"Terrible advice and quite offensive"
The author claims that the victims of Nazi Germany PUT themselves in that situation due to their negative thoughts and thinking.
The author claims that patients with cancer and other critical illness's have brought on their disease with their thoughts and can heal themselves with thought alone.
The rest of the book is in my opinion just a spin on the 'positive thinking' sales pitch popular in life coaching through the 1990's and a protracted advert for the authors movie on DVD and related products.
A fool any his money is so easily parted...

"The Secret to Life!"
This is one of those rare books that really can change your life! I have listened to it about 6 times in the 3 weeks I have had it, and still want more. I feel more energised, positive and most of all, happier! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to improve their life in simple but profound ways.
"1 star is being generous!"
This is related to the laws of attraction and is basically consumerist non-sense aimed at those gullible enough to swallow it. Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. This is so transparently ugly and stupid that it seems impossible that anyone could take it seriously. Take out the buzzwords and pseudo religious nonsense about what you 'manifest' for yourself, ignore the vague prose and you get the message that thinking positively serves you better than thinking negatively. To sane people this is laughable, like the Tooth Fairy or Ouija boards. If you're falling out of an airplane, the law of gravity trumps the law of attraction.
"Fine content, marred by the delivery"
I rated the content at 4 stars since the book provides a good overview of the 'New Thought' philosophy as it has developed over the 20th century. However, I found the audio slightly marred by the authors delivery, which was a heady combination of stilted, breathless and needlessly over dramatic at times. Other voice acting for the classical 'New Thoughters' (Wattle, et al) was fine, and the 'experts' voices are just the experts voices. since most earn a steady living doing presentations, their delivery is fluid and clear.
Overall, a good addition to the 'concious creation' canon, that pays its dues to the founders of the field, but a professional narrator would have improved the packaged that final star.
"Coincidence"
At the same time as I saw this on audible and downloaded it, I had several unconnected references to it from friends and family, all quite positive. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the authors delivery is not very professional, but taking a leaf out of her book we can smile and be thankful! She is certainly full of enthusiasm for which she gets full marks. I have been investigating similar material for about 25 years, but this is the first time I have seen it presented together in an easily digestable manner. Even the narrow minded sceptic can listen and try out the simple philosophy, without much fear of ridicule. She gets 10 out of 10 for me for shear effort and strength of character to make this happen! Go on try it!
"If you like simple answer"
Positive thinking is one thing but blaming victims for being victims is beyond my resistance. With in the first hour you will read that victims of the genocide, crime, rape, murder, have attracted this evil by there way of thinking. It never mentions how babies and very young children attract this kind of horror.
If you like simple answer and are stupidly materialistic this book is for you. If you want to believe that cancer, Nazis, hunger, and natural disasters are made up by your mind this is your book.
I can not believe that intelligent people are not lining up to denounce this garbage.
"There is no 'Secret'"
I brought this book about three years ago but only writing my review now as I believe time was a true test. I initially brought this as two close friends raved about it and curiosity led me to give it a listen. I was quite angry at the underlying message of this book - that you, and you alone, are responsible for what happens in your life, and all external interactions are a result of you attracting that to yourself. Others have highlighted what this implies for the sick and disabled. Of course this book has a great defence mechanism, that should you find fault with it then your not practicing the 'Secret' correctly; No I didn't, but my friends and many others did and did it deliver the life changing guarantees if offered? No in the slightest.
The only thing I can commend it for is that it probably will put you in a positive frame of mind for a while. If so then good, use that to DO things to get on with life but don't expect the universe to give you everything, its busy enough without tending to greed.
"Definitely changing my life"
I listened with scepticism and disliked the initial emphasis on consummerism and monetary wealth, but as the book went on and themes of love and gratitude came through, it made much more sense. I then listened again and it made more sense. I then started finding cross-references in scientific papers that appear to support the central tenets of the Secret. To be truthful, the mindset changes that the book encourages make an enormous difference and they are not difficult to introduce into one's life.
"Empty - Made for the sake of making money"
This is your typical run of the mill self-help/inspirational swindle - a money maker and nothing more. Full of empty platitudes and inane cliches that you've heard a million times before.
This book does more harm than good with it's wishy-washy 'ask the universe and all shall be granted' approach. Here in the real world you have to work hard and persevere to get want you want.
"Missing 1 vital thing."
Determination... This books puts out that with positive thinking alone you can sit back and all will fall into you lap. Total rubbish. If positive thinking was so powerful there would be no point playing sports as our teams would never loose, we would never get illnesses etc etc. Complete rubbish.
