Everyone loves a bedtime story. And here are eight of the best from BBC Radio 4's Book at Bedtime, each with a Christmas theme, written by an array of literature's best-known names. They include Laurie Lee, Charles Dickens, and Hans Christian Andersen - just some of the storytellers included in this collection. Amongst those giving voice to these stories are Patricia Routledge, Joss Ackland, Miriam Margolyes, Dame Judi Dench, and Richard Briers. Intriguing, funny, poignant, and above all entertaining, these eight Christmas stories are the best of Book at Bedtime.

"Good for adults as well"
Great festive short stories (I don't even have kids). Well read i put it on timer and listen to it at bed time.
"a little short"
beautiful short stories well narrated by all the contributors. I personalty would have liked them a .little longer, but they were made for 15 min. slots on the radio. Great length for children's bedtime stories.
Shall come out every Christmas I think.
"Christmas pleasure"
A lovely collection of both old favourite Christmas stories as well as some new ones that just gets you in the mood for Christmas.
