"Not as good as Stephen Briggs"
In my opinion this is TP's best Discworld novel, read brilliantly by Nigel Planer, however, after hearing some of the Discworld novels read by Stephen Briggs I find it hard to go back to Planer simply because Briggs is so great. So, in short, if you're going to spend £20 on an audio book of TP's make it a Stephen Briggs one.

"Ho Ho Ho"
Nigel Planer does his usual excellent job with another Discworld title. There were moments when I laughed out loud, embarrassing as I was listening on headphones, at the banter between the Death of Rats and Quoth. This was in spite of Planer's Raven sounding very like his Granny Weatherwax from other books.
He reads at the same pace as the book which, like most Pratchetts, doesn't pause for chapter breaks.

"A Discworld Delight For Christmas Listeners"
The narration of Terry Pratchett's books, particularly this one, are a joy to listen to. In this brilliant addition to the series the Hogfather has gone missing and Death steps in, resulting in much mirth amid tongue-in-cheek christmas allegory.

"Superb"
Another Terry Pratchett novel brought to life by Nigel Planer. Thoroughly enjoyed the return of Susan and of course her Grandfather, Death!

"Audiobook doesn't do the book justice"
I like this book. I like to read it at chrismas time about every other year. I thought it would be good to hear a reading of it for a change. I chose the Nigel Planer audiobook because it is unabridged. I had to stop listening after not very long. Planer is so boring! I did re-visit the audiobook but could not get into it - there is no sense of fun or mischief.

"The Perfect Way to Escape"
How I loved this! Such fun, wit and silliness... and beautifully read (performed) by Nigel Planer. Something to come back to and enjoy year after year.

"Ho Ho, um, Ho.."
Nigel Planer's voice characterisation is very good, and he reads it at a good pace. I've read all but two of Pratchett's books and took a leap of faith in purchasing this audiobook. I have to say I was not disappointed. I'm still working my way through it (with great delight) but so far can highly recommend this title and this reader.
