Publisher's Summary

On the planet of Discworld, phrases like "there's a Death in the family" take on a whole new meaning. Young Susan has always suspected that her Grandfather was different, as though all the time he spent riding a white horse and wielding a scythe weren't enough of a giveaway. Now that her worst fears have been confirmed, Susan learns that she's expected to take over the family business when she grows up, even though most people mistake her for the Tooth Fairy. But as attractive as Death can be to many people, Susan is drawn into something else: the exciting, addictive heavy beats of "Music with Rocks In," Discworld's latest dance craze.

    "Excellent story but ..."

This is one of my all-time favourite books, and the reading is great too, but I find the sound quality disappointing. Still worth buying, but I'd be happy to invest in an updated recording.

    Story
    "Music With Rocks In!!!!"

Another book filled with the humour and brilliance that we?ve come to expect for Terry Pratchett and Discworld. A story that, when you come down to it, is just ?Music With Rocks In?. The characters are plentiful and divers, and you find yourself loving and hating them by turns. If there was one slight let down it was the sound quality, but nothing unexpected from an older recording and it in no way detracts from the story.

    "Genius storytelling"

If you love 'music with rocks in it' this book will be a joy! Terry Pratchetts imagination never ceases to amaze me. He is a genius of a storyteller, and Nigel Planers narration brings life to all of the wonderful characters that are introduced in this story.I laughed alot and would thoroughly recommend.

    Story
    "Music with Rocks in!"

The characters immediately appealed and I was gripped to the story within the first five minutes. The further humanisation of Death our favourite anthropomorphic personification is amusing as he first drinks and then goes off to forget by joining the foreign legion. This interplay of new charecters and themes over familiar settings and some old favorites (such as CMOT Dibbler as music mogul) makes this another grin fest. I always reach for a Terry Pratchett book when I want to be thought provokingly amused and walk around smiling inanely while listening to the story on audio. Soul Music did not dissapoint. Only slight downside is that this recording seemed to lack audio quality - seemed a bit biscuit tinney and although I enjoy Nigel Planer's narration, I do prefer Stephen Briggs.
