As a life-long James Herriot fan, I am familiar with the stories, the anecdotes, the ebb and flow of life in this Yorkshire community but I am very pleased with the way that Christopher Timothy brings each of the characters to life!
"A comfortable, uncomplicated, clean listen"
You can't beat a bit of James Herriott when you need a book you don't need to put any effort into. Nice simple humour and perfect to dip in and dip out of. Loved it.
I am very familiar with the Herriot books and was a little disappointed in Christopher Timothy's slightly monotonous narration.
