The unabridged, digital audiobook edition of Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl and the Last Guardian, the unbelievable finale to the multi award-winning Artemis Fowl series. Read by the actor Nathaniel Parker.
Is this Armageddon for the Artemis Fowl?
Opal Koboi, power-crazed pixie, is plotting to exterminate mankind and become fairy queen. If she succeeds, the spirits of long-dead fairy warriors will rise from the earth, inhabit the nearest available bodies and wreak mass destruction. But what happens if those nearest bodies include crows, or deer, or badgers - or two curious little boys by the names of Myles and Beckett Fowl?
Yes, it's true. Criminal mastermind Artemis Fowl's four-year-old brothers could be involved in destroying the human race. Can Artemis and Captain Holly Short of the Lower Elements Police stop Opal and prevent the end of the world?

"Completion"
This is the last book in the series and Eoin Colfer has tied up all the loose ends from the previous books. It has a feeling of finality about it and one fears at times what that may mean for the main characters but it is also a book of hope. There is the characteristic humour running throughout the book intertwined with deeper moments. This is a book about friendship in all its different forms and is wonderfully narrated by Nathaniel Parker. A book to be enjoyed as much by adults as children.
"As excellent as ever"
Eoin Colfer must be one of the best most entertaining writers around. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single book in the Artemis series. The performance from Nathaniel Parker is fantastic and has mattured as Artemis has over the years. Its amazing how each book has told more of the history of the fairy people and this novel has not let the side down. When is the next episode due.
"Artemis is back - for the last time?"
This book seems to finish off the Artemis Fowl series quite well - with you not sure what is going to happen afterwards... Well written, with enough twists and turns to keep the whole family enthralled on a long car journey. However, I would recommend reading / listening to this one AFTER having read / listened to the other 7 "Arti" books, as it makes much more sense then!
"A great end to a lovely series"
All the Artemis Fowl books are enjoyable stories and this one is certainly no exception in that sense. It's a bittersweet read though, since it is the final installment in the series. Nathaniel Parker deilvers another great performance - his reading style is flowing and easy to listen to and his interpretations of the characters are sensible, organic and very well done.
"Good conclusion."
This was a good conclusion to an excellent series of books, superbly read by Nathaniel Parker.
"As good as always"
I love these stories (in audiobook). Nathaniel Parker is great with the accents and the narration. Good story, great reading.
"Excellent"
I think that this book is an excellent read. It is captivating and ensnares the reader in the world that the author has created
