Arthur C Clarke is without question the world's best-known and most celebrated science-fiction writer. His career, spanning more than 60 years, is one of unequalled success. Clarke has always been celebrated for his clear prophetic vision, which is fully on display in this audiobook, but there are also many stories that show his imagination in full flight, to the distant future and to far-flung star systems.

"Inventive Early Work"
These are stories from Arthur C's early work, many from the 1930s and 1940s, and therefore some have a dated feel.
However, they are, almost without exception, brilliantly inventive, many of them highly prescient, and most a delight to hear read. The quality of the readers enhanced my enjoyment.
"Mainly for the converted"
I downloaded this because of the authors reputation and discovered examples of Clarke's (very) early work. Being someone who is more interested in the story rather than the genre, I was disappointed at the simplistic settings of some stories....understandably given that they range from late 1930's onwards. They do improve considerably (at least for me) as the collection develops. It's a huge work and although the entire work would be mainly for true science fiction acolytes , there is still much here for the general listener/reader.
"Genius"
This is collection of pure genius. If you are a science fiction person then treat yourself! I find myself trying to escape real life just to catch some pure time to enjoy these works.
"Very enjoyable"
With different readers/voices all of a high standard of delivery and a very good variety of stories in typical Arthur Clarke style, I found this worthwhile listening.
"Good selection"
Really enjoyed this, some quite humorous.
"SciFi that doesn't date"
I've always loved Clarke. He is the master of Hard Sci-fi and the king of the SciFi short. This collection is both well written as would be expected and well delivered by multiple readers.
