This is an excellent recording with great narration and definitely worth a listen.
This book is very good, but by far not Gerald Seymour?s best. Come on Audible lets see more unabridged recording of this mans work, as he has written some fantastic works, many are timeless and should be available on this service.7 of 8 people found this review helpful -
"A very entetaining tale."
I found this book to be a very nice mix of history, humour and irony. The relationship between the two russian characters is both believable and endearing. Once I had listened to the first chapter I was hooked and coundn't switch it off.

"Not his best effort"
Having read a few of his works, I like his style but this was a dis-appointment. Overall it felt like a relatively simple story drawn out over an extended period and would probably be better as an abridged version.

"Disappointing"
I found this book very tedious. Little or no suspense, rambling, overly long and predictable; I could not recommend it.
