    "Wonderful story, but ....."

As wonderful as this story is, the one massive problem here is that Volume 2 does not seem to be available to purchase. How crazy is that? What is the point in only offering half a book for sale? Come on Audible, you can do better than this. How about making Volume 2 available now?

    "The Ultimate Comfort "Listen""

I couldn't read or listen to anything else for about a day after I finished listening to this; I had become so caught up in the story that I couldn't quite let go of it! It's very long, but so beautifully read by Rowena Cooper that it is utterly absorbing. You will find your self laughing, crying and totally falling in love with the characters. It will also make you want to move to Cornwall... buy it, you won't regret it!

    Story
    "Absorbing"

This is an absorbing novel set in the 1930's & 40's following the lives of a group of friends in the years leading up to and during the second world war.
It is beautifully written with the descriptions of both the people and the places so realistic and dialogue so authenic that you feel that you are transported in time and place. It is the first of two volumes and tells the first half of the story, so you will need to buy the second volume as well. Rowena Cooper reads it perfectly.

    Story
    "Wonderfully evocative and atmosperic."

I love Rosamunde Pilcher and have only just started reading her, but I find I am addicted to her style and account of Cornish life through the past hundred years. Her story lines are really just that, stories, but still a realistic view of war time horrors and heart breaking losses and shortages. The ups and downs of these books are at times harrowing, but worth the tears for the many wonderfully descriptive texts, and the stories of amazing people and the lifelong bonds of friendship that are established at the worst of times.

    "Wonderful book"

I've read this book but still really enjoyed listening to it. Fantastic story line involving a number of characters. There's romance and some adventure here. This story will touch your heart.

Loved this book. Beautifully written, creates beautiful pictures of Cornwall and takes you to a different era. But the cover says Volume One, where is Volume Two? Come on Audible I need to know what happens to Judith in Singapore.

    "Jolly story"

I enjoyed the story. The setting is near where I grew up so enjoyed the pictures it created. Not sure if I will download the second part/book.
