"Herriot as usual a joy"
What can I say, his books are a joy to listen to. Telling of a bygone age and all his wonderful stories of a vets life in the 30's and 40's. Lovely.
"Better than the TV show"
This book purchased to assist me with my powerwalking ( on Ipod)
did not help much with my fitness as i was laughing and chuckling so much . An excellent book which i have recommmended to my friends.
"A classic retelling..."
My long drives back and forth across the UK are a pleasure whilst listening to these classics. I get wrapped up in the fantastic story lines - the classic characters - and the irrepressible Christopher Timothy who brings these stories to life! Thoroughly enjoyable!
"James Heriott-"
This is a wonderful book! Brilliantly narrated by
Christopher Timothy, its description of a vet?s life
in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales is
truly great. It has sad, interesting and laugh out
loud short stories, which in my opinion is a winner.
Enjoy, and then listen to the next one, for more
interesting tales :)
"Let sleeping vets lie"
Another cracking listen. Id never listened to these before thinking it may be too old fashioned and stuffy, but the style is timeless and warming. Makes you wish you were in the Lake District in those warm friendly pubs and away from the clinical world we live in today.
"Love the James Herriot series!"
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, particularly because it is narrated by one of the tv series original stars. After listening to this audio, I was inspired to purchase two more!
