Publisher's Summary

At last in audio - Dom Joly's no holds barred autobiography of a man with the ego of Napoleon and the talent of Darren Day with a brand new exclusive introduction. Dom Joly reveals how he murdered his Armenian nanny before his second birthday, how as a student he inadvertently gave Kurt Cobain the inspiration for 'Smells like Teen Spirit', how as a producer for ITN he mistook John Major for a large lizard, and how after being raped by a TV weathergirl the scandal was hushed up and Trigger Happy TV was born.

Dom Joly promises many other sensational revelations involving fellow celebrities including Vanessa Feltz, Peter Mandelson and Uday Hussein and many others yet to be identified.

What the Critics Say

"Joly serves up a narrative of the bizarre and improbably... Brutal electrocution of a nanny, a fling with Nigel from Turkmenistan and a stint at MI6 rouse laughs aplenty." (The Observer)

"If you thought Trigger Happy TV was well-observed, you'll discover it merely scratched the surface." (Heat)

"The bastard offspring of Spike Miligan and Baron Munchhausen, it is deeply strange and very funny." (Sunday Times)

"Weird, funny... definitely worth a listen"

I listened to the Dark tourist a while back and absolutely loved it, a combination of Joly's quirky sense of humor and his experiences in some of the least traveled to or bizarre places in the world, made an excellent listen.

I found Look at me harder to get into, especially as I hadnt realised it was a spoof biography. However, although not quite as good as dark tourist it was still a great listen!

    "Hilarious AND thought provoking!"

I've been a member of Audible for more than 5 years and until today I haven't been inspired to write a review about any of the 100-odd books I've downloaded.

This book is excelelnt! From the moment I started listening, I didn't want to stop. This veryunpredictable and hilarious 'made-up' autobriography is throught-provoking, poignant in places, and surreal. I read on the way to/from work, and I laughed out loud so often that pasers-by must have wondered what the joke was. I want the whole world to read this book!

Dom reads his own material well too, but he knows that. Thank you Dom, for brightening up my week!

Note, there is some coarse language, so beware if you have delicate sensibilities. ...

"Can't get enough of the talking dog"

I have seen Dom live and he isn't very good.
His books are though and they had me laughing out loud. No more so than when he meets his dog for the first time. Love his books

    "Funniest book for ages"

After previously listening to the hugely entertaining The Dark Tourist last year, as soon as i saw this on here, i just had to have it...
I listened to it on a nightshift at work and everyone was asking "what are you on?" as i was laughing so much.
Extremely funny and i can't wait for his next book.
The only negative thing i can say Look at ME, Look at ME! is, it's not bloody long enough...

    "Very entertaining"

I previously listened to the Dark Tourist and really enjoyed that. This flashed up on a recommendation list somewhere and I had a credit... so I downloaded it without investigating any further.

( I am embarrased to admit it took me until well into the 4th chapter before I realised what was going on and I confirmed things on amazon reviews!!! )

Easy to listen to in the car and laugh out loud in more than a few places.

My only criticism would be that I though it tailed off a bit towards the end. Nevertheless I would thoroughly recommend it, Joly is an excellent narrator too.

    "Superbly funny and irreverent"

I didn't know whether this was true or not when I started listening to this book.
I was already a fan of Trigger Happy TV, I loving the music, whilst wincing and crying at the sketches in equal measure.

Reading this book I was laughing out loud and wincing just occasionally. DJ has obviously (having now read the Dark Tourist as well and listened to his pod casts) used his true life as the backbone of the story, put in the truly funny bits in his extra-ordinary life and then overlaid it with some bizarre, hilarious and deliciously witty anecdotes, that surely we all imagine, but he imagines more bizarrely than the rest of us.

It is so funny that I was very sorry to have finished. Please Mr Joly write us another book.

    "What a complex character"

Well I was not at all sure I was going to enjoy this book, when Dom starts of talking about his birth as though he remembers the entire process I was a little worried the book would have me frowning all the way through.

This guy is unique, he has had the some seriously tough times which have no doubt made him the character that he is today.

    Very enjoyable listen

    "A load of rubbish"

I had read The Dark Tourist by the same author and really enjoyed it. I did not enjoy this book, I couldn't even see it to the end. It was not funny - just really silly. I would not recommend this at all - a waste of time.
