Baby Frankie is born into an unusual family. Her mother is desperate to find someone to take care of her child, and she doesn't have much time. Noel doesn't seem to be the most promising of fathers but despite everything, he could well be Frankie's best hope. As for Lisa, she is prepared to give up everything for the man she loves; surely he's going to love her back? And Moira is having none of it. She knows what's right, and has the power to change the course of Frankie's life... but Moira is hiding secrets of her own.
A moving tale of unconventional families, relationships that aren't quite what they seem, and the child at the heart of everyone's lives.

"Minding Frankie"
This book make me laugh and want to cry. This book contains a variety of characters and brings them together brilliantly. I couldn't switch it off.
"bravo to the Binchy's"
Bravo to both Maeve and Kate...maeve for a fabulous story..and kate to a fantastic narration .....one of the best books on audio ever....
"Minding Frankie"
Thoroughly enjoyable. Well portrayed characters. Held my interest all the way through.Maeve Binchy at her best.
"Good if you like Maeve Binchy books"
This is a fairly interesting story, although the social worker in the story is not very likeable. The only criticism I would give it is the narrating voice - makes the characters all sound quite old.
If you like Maeve Binchy stories, you will probably enjoy this.
"A book that envelops you with comfort"
Maeve Binchy is the absolute guru of this genre of writing. I love the way she weaves believable characters and tells stories of fairly ordinary folk. Having read a number of her books I also enjoy the glimpses we get of characters from previous novels. The lady from the social services rang so many bells. This is gentle entertainment that leaves the listener happier than at the beginning. Delightfully read by Kate Binchy who imparts real warmth and empathy.
"a story well told"
I laughed, I cried, but most of all i enjoyed a well told tale.
Who will give us such heart warming stories now? it will take someone special to fill her shoes.
"bland irish story"
i know that reading a meave binchy i'll get a irish story, but i felt it dragged in several parts of it.
