The Power

I was inspired by the previous review to give a contrasting opinion!! I am a HUGE fan of the secret, so didn't hurry to buy this, as I thought it wouldn't offer anything new... but I was wrong!!! This book is fantastic! I feel inspired, and feel it is contributing to real change within me. I agree that her voice is a little grating (which I took to be her passion, as it IS read by the author), but even despite that I still love it, and will listen again for sure!

I even decided I wanted to buy the hardback book version, and went into town to purchase it... I locked my bike up in town, and noticed a second-hand shop I'd never noticed before. I popped in before going to the bookshop, and there, on top of a pile of books was a mint condition copy of the Power!! Law of Attraction at it's best.

There is no doubt that there is a lot of good and inspiring information in this book and if you havent heard any of it before I am sure may come as a revelation, However, I wish that I had just purchased either the kindle or hard copy of this as the narration is really irritating to say the least, all the sound effects are totally rediculous and really over the top its all like an advertisment for the latest blockbuster movie and this takes away from the words which are over dramatised by the narrator and then repeated
I think this detracts from the book and is rather off putting which is a shame, I may just purchase the kindle version and cut to the chase as the audible version is just distracting. Probably really good in hard copy

I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this. After reading The Secret and feeling slightly underwhelmed by its rather wishy-washy content I was not sure that the follow up was going to add much more to my life.

I must say that I was so surprised that The Power is much more focussed on the real techniques for changing your life. It is beautifully produced and highly empowering. In truth this is the secret that the prequel never got anywhere near approaching by any of its contributors. If you enjoy Jerry and Esther Hicks then this is probably a more concise version of their teachings from a slightly different perspective.

I thoroughly recommend it!

I did not even have the POOOWER to listen this one to its end. I found "The secret" to be a beautiful masterpiece, but this one was not.

I had the feeling she was saying the same over and over again and it was not at all convincing. It sounded more like a "I need money book"

If you can get over the annoying voice that seems to speak at half speed (Rhonda Byrne trying to put drama in what really is an average book) you will be presented with some 'common sense' observations about life.
Having read The Secret you will actually NOT LEARN ANYTHING NEW..... just a fantastic marketing ploy to sell more books on the same subject.

The Secret took the world by storm, but many people found it very difficult to follow its principals. The Power distils these principals into easy practical steps that are easy to follow and for which I am very grateful. My only issue with Rhonda's vision of the world is what appears to be an uncritical view of consumerism rather than a more harmonious and balanced approach. She may also raise the hackles of some scientists with her ascertion about water having memory - this is not accepted by the majority although there is research which purports to support the idea. Thanks again Rhonda!

This is quite simply the best and most important book I have ever read. Rhonda Byrne follows on from her bestseller The Secret with this inspiring yet straightforward book, explaining the most powerful force in the universe and how you have it at your fingertips every moment of every day.
Through this book you can transform your life to enable you to be and live your true authentic self, to be, do or have whatever you want. Not just like that, you understand. Transforming your life means transforming the way you approach life and Rhonda explains this clearly and unequivocally.
If you are in any way into spiritual growth or self development, you will get this. If you have read, listened to or seen The Secret, you will get this. If you have a heart you will get this. One way or another you should get this.

This book is an excellent read. I find the topics very encouraging. I would encourage anyone seeking to fulfill their dreams to read this book.

I found it very inspirational and enlightened my awareness in my every day life .I am still learning about my true mission in life and hopefully in time all will be revealed .

This audiobook would have been far more enjoyable had it not been read by the actual author.. Some people are meant to write and others meant to read (aloud to an audience), and Rhonda falls short of the latter. Having shied away from The Secret when it was first released because of the OTT hype, I dove in with The Power and trusted the recommendations from friends. I liken it to a 21st century manual in human magic ~ she does not provide any new answers but she does illustrate these old answers with inspiring examples of everyday men and women living their every day lives and overcoming earthly challenges. I came away speaking with Australian overtones to my normal English accent. However, once I had become used to her voice, the content ended up taking centre stage. A soothing background audiobook while driving long (or short distances) depending on whether you want to nurture an Australian accent or not!.
