Computer whiz-kid Peter Keithly, asked to transfer a betting formula onto computer tape, dies shortly afterwards. An old friend of his, Jonathan Perry, finds himself in possession of the tapes, and also discovers that there are greedy, desperate men who will do anything to get their hands on the lucrative software. The evil, bull-faced Angelo goes too far and ends up in jail. Fourteen years later he's free, and very keen not only to get hold of the tapes, but also Jonathan Derry.

"Classic Francis"
Another cracking story from Dick Francis. This one split into two related tales centring on a computer betting system. The description of the computer program dates this one a little, but it's still absolutely first rate. Recommended.
"Two stories in one, cleverly knitted together"
A thoroughly enjoyable book with two related stories sharing a common theme but from very different perspectives. The "East Middlesex Comprehensive School" in Part One more meets the description of a public school or certainly that is the feel. This apart the stories seem to stand up to scrutiny. Tony Britton reads superbly and lends authenticity to the audiobook.
