New York Times best-selling novelist Nora Roberts captivates millions of fans with her provocative blend of scorching passion and chilling suspense. With Carnal Innocence, she creates a gripping tale of murder, infatuation, and true love in a small southern town. After beautiful concert violinist Caroline Waverly breaks up with her conductor and lover Luis, she escapes to her late grandmother's home in Innocence, Mississippi. Instead of peace and tranquility, however, she finds the town torn with suspicion over two brutal murders. When she discovers a third victim in the murky waters behind her house, she turns to her dangerously handsome neighbor, Tucker Longstreet, for protection. But Tucker has a reputation for breaking hearts - even worse, the police count him their number one suspect.
You'll want to lean back in your easy chair and let Nora Robert's steamy prose and Tom Stechschulte's stirring interpretation transport you to Innocence where the nights are filled with promise and secrets are hard to keep.

"WOW!!!"
This book had a bit of everything. Romance, Mystery, Murder and Mayhem. The narrator really drew you into the story.
A must read/listen for any Nora Roberts fan
"Easy listening.."
I wanted something that was going to keep my attention without requiring too much effort / concentration and this book more than met the brief. Good storyline, excellent twist – I was sure I had identified the culprit at the beginning; but I was wrong and did not guess until it was revealed at the end.. a little romance, a touch of suspense and a mystery – what more can you ask for. What made this book complete was that by pure chance the movie was aired on sky as I was reading it – so finished the book and watched the movie.. brill
"A terrific story"
I have read and listened to several Nora Roberts books and think that this is the best one yet. The Longstreet family were the big guns in the small town of Innocence, Mississippi. Dwayne, the eldest, sees life through the bottom of a bottle, his sister Josie, dissatisfied with her life, uses her promiscuity to pass the time whilst Tucker, the youngest son, is goodnatured but idle. The vicious killing of several young local women and the arrival in town of Caroline, a young concert violinist, fleeing from her dominating mother and an unhappy love affair, combine to make him sit up and start taking notice. There is horror, mystery, romance and quite a bit of humour in the tale that follows and a very big plus is the excellent narration by Tom Stechschulte.
"Sleepy Town Blues"
A lovely Southern town is still nervous after two murders. New damaged girl arrives to inherit her aunt's house; she catches the eye of the local Lothario, but also, the local scary dude. More girls are murdered, is it the scary dude or someone else who is guilty?
