"Marvellous chick lit"
Entertaining, laugh out loud funny at times. Chick lit with a little less fluff and a bit more substance than most in the genre. A great diversion from every day life.
"Fantastic!"
Loved this! A well written, fun, plot twisty story that entertains every second of the way! Completely adorable!
"Passes the time!"
This book is very mediocre but did make laugh maybe twice. The story follows Poppy, a good natured bimbo who is about to get married but then it all goes wrong because she loses her ring. Then follows a series of implausible events, firstly she gets her phone stolen but then... Hurrah! She finds a new one in a bin. But the owner of the phone, Sam, wants it back as he needs to get his emails. ( why he can't pick up his emails anywhere else is not explained). Anyway crucially, they 'share' the phone, as she 'needs' it, or she'll die. She then reads all his emails, and takes it upon herself to reply to everyone he knows. She also sticks diamanté decorations all over the phone (doesn't everyone decorate their phone??). Er, no Poppy, no one decorates their phone unless they are at primary school. He is annoyed yet decides that she has saved company he works for and has reformed his life. Meanwhile she doesn't like her in-laws -to-be because they use long words that she doesn't understand. And she hardly knows the man she is marrying. There are lots of penny-dropping moments for poppy, that the reader sees coming a few pages before... I found this annoying! Bless her, she's just a bit dim.
"great book couldnt stop listening"
i love sophie kinsella and this latest book turned out to be just as great if not better than all the others,it had me gripped from the first word till the end, there was just enough detail about the characters to make you feel like you knew them and the plot had me laughing out loud and cringing inwardly at the same time, well worth the money
"Brilliant!"
Thoroughly enjoyable book by Sophie Kinsella. Very engaging, and the narration is exemplary. I just spent the past five hours sitting listening to the final half of the book, I didn't want to leave it! Would definitely recommend the purchase of this audiobook.
"Funny, light hearted and entertaining"
Typical Sophie Kinsella. As always there are some misunderstandings and a bit of cringiness, but very entertaining and funny. The narrator is fantastic, and brings the characters to life. An easy, light hearted entertaining listen which will leave you smiling.
"What twaddle!"
This book was nothing but twaddle! And the narrater drove me mad. The whole story is ridiculous!
"Sweet and quite funny!"
A good relaxing girl book, that takes your mind off daily pressures. It was very good narrated.
"great fun"
well written, you can almost see the movie, and of course totally far fetched but I loved it.It was well narrated and kept me smiling and laughing for 11 hours. Honestly 11 hours entetainment for a few quid.Get it! also walked a couple more miles than I normally do as I didnt want to stop listening so all good.
"Enjoyable"
Enjoyable but too much detail. I found it all a bit too far fetched, however, I did enjoy it and hung on in there. Having read two novels by this author I would not buy another.
