"This is part of a series!"
WHY does it not say anywhere that this book is number five out of a series? Furthermore I can't GET the other four on Audible as unabridged. My interest in a series rather hinges on whether I can actually get the entire series and I am as a rule never interested in abridged versions. If I had known this was part of a series, I definitely wouldn't have wasted a credit on it. I would at least have started wtih book 1!
I'm entering a star rating because Audible is forcing me to. I picked three because that's average and therefore in my mind should make the smallest possible impact, when you take into account that I can't really judge a book I haven't listened to. On account of it being part five of a series where I didn't know there even were parts one to four...
I am posting because I thought maybe others who also prefer to start at the beginning might find it helpful to know that this isn't the beginning, but rather the end.11 of 11 people found this review helpful -

"More Heroes from the East..."
A fantastic realising of the Mongols unification under Kublai Khan.
Grim, gritty, vicious and brutal in equal measures, blood thirsty throughout, this is a rip roaring tale that takes the Empire on to the brink of its destiny.

"superb"
it took me about 15 minutes to get used to the narrator's voice, but then I really got into this audiobook. Actually, the narration is very good and really becomes more captivating the longer you listen to it. The book itself is extremely well written. A pure joy to listen to it! I will certainly look out for more books by the same author and also the same narrator
