Simon Lewis is having some trouble adjusting to his new life as a vampire, especially now that he hardly sees his best friend Clary, who is caught up in training to be a Shadowhunter - and spending time with her new boyfriend, Jace. Simon decides he needs a break and heads out of the city - only to discover that sinister events are following him. Realising that the war they thought they'd won might not yet be over, Simon has to call on his Shadowhunter friends to save the day - if they can put their own splintering relationships on hold long enough to rise to the challenge....

"Wonderful"
I love The Mortal Instruments and for the most part because of the complex relationships between the main characters. This is the 4th book in the saga and kind of starts of the second part of the story and maybe I wondered if it would captivate me as much as the first 3 books did.
Well I can say it does and I thoroughly enjoyed it, as with the other books I love Cassie's storyline and hope with all my heart if and when the film does come out it will do it justice, though as with most films of the book, they don't.
If you haven't read any of the Mortal Instruments get hold of City of Bones now, you won't regret it. It has it all, Demons and Angels, Vampires and Werewolves, Love and Romance. If you have read the first 3 books, City of Fallen Angels will leave you crying out for the as yet incomplete 5th book, City of Lost Souls.
Get into the Mortal Instruments now!
"Loved it"
I bought City of Fallen Angels last night and absolutely love it. It's the first book from the series I've ever read/heard but it's fairly easy to get caught up with (through wikipedia) I love that Ed Westwick co narrates this and his accent and voice is seriously perfect for the role of Simon. If your a fan of Gossip Girl and into Fantasy novels then this book will be perfect for you. Highly reccommend it. The voices really help you get into the book.
"Awful."
Love love love Cassandra Clare's 1st three mortal instruments as well as the infernal devices. This book, however was very low on plot and was more of a Clary / Jace vehicle than an actual story. The narration was also not very good and did not add anything. Read it in paperback so you can skip the irrelevant boring parts.
Don't let this review put you off the first three in the series, though.
